For the November 2020 Festival, we developed an Augmented Reality app which we hoped people would be able to enjoy using around the city. Covid19 restrictions meant that we were unable to release it, but you can still explore some of the content.
The contributions were all generously donated by artists and organisations across the Sheffield City Region, operating under our theme of 'Discovery'. These contributions further demonstrate the generous and collaborative spirit of the creative and digital communities. The App itself has been an experiment in response to the situation we find ourselves in and how we can share the stories and exhibit artworks created by some of our local talent. The content on display will serve as a platform for 2021 and we hope that it will encourage more contributions so that we can start to map out and explore our digital surroundings.
