Philippa Hedley-Takhar - P4SY Programme Manager
Philippa Takhar is Programme Manager for the P4SY Accelerator Programme, a programme in the South Yorkshire region building strategic relationships between start-up companies and the South Yorkshire medtech ecosystem to stimulate economic growth and knowledge exchange and to accelerate adoption of precision medicine for patient benefit. P4SY is part of the TEAM SY project, led by Capital Enterprise and Barnsley Council. TEAM SY is part funded by the ERDF, and is supported by Northern Powerhouse and the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. Philippa has 20 years’ experience of working in business growth, economic development and inward investment, leading multi-stakeholder programmes to catalyse and commercialise health technology innovation working with the AHSN Network, and the NIHR.
Ryan Sylvester - AWRC Project Manager
Ryan Sylvester is a Project Manager in the AWRC R&D for Business team, he is responsible for implementing the AWRCs business engagement strategy, including the managing delivery of key projects/activity such as the AWRCs unique R&D-focused ‘wellbeing accelerator programme’. The team brokers in and facilitates opportunities for Sheffield Hallam academics to collaborate on R&D projects with industrial partners – helping these companies to get their products closer to market. Ultimately, this is with the aim of securing local adoption of new innovations that aim to help close the gap of healthy life years lived in the region.
