The relationship between data, creativity and the urban experience

We'll be hearing from experts across policy, data science and visualisation to ask their opinion on questions such as: How local studios, designers, artists and data journalists could be more involved in working with data owners to help collective development?

Chris is a multi-disciplinary consultant, educator and project leader with a career in digital design and development and an academic background in both computer science and the humanities. He is a specialist in the digital development of places, as the founder of Unfolding Ltd. and a co-founder and director of Sheffield Digital, the city's digital industries association. Chris is a non-executive board member of the Sheffield University Technical Colleges Multi-Academy Trust, and of The Developer Academy, both of which provide new models of training and education in computing. He is also an Associate Lecturer in Digital Design at Sheffield Hallam University, and the Director of the Smart Cities Programme at Zigurat Global Institute of Technology in Barcelona.
