Tiny Tech and Near-Field Nails
Brought to you by Tanya Fish from Pimoroni
Come and hear local maker and educator, Tanya Fish, explain how the quest for a decent manicure led to adventures in near field communications, biohacking, and some really tiny tech. The talk is followed by a workshop on how to use NFC in projects and exhibits for digital interactivity, and includes tech to take home.
In the workshop you will make a working receiver coil, a wearable interactive piece, and a memory tote - all of which you get to take home after the workshop.
No prior experience is necessary for the workshop, we want you to try something new! There will be light refreshments provided but if you'd like to bring some snacks along too, feel free. If you want to have a go at a tech nail, please ensure that at least one nail is free of varnish (ideally ring fingernail).
£25 including materials to take home
